New Mercedes S Class Coupe caught on video ahead of production debut
The new Mercedes S Class Coupe – the coupe version of the 2014 Mercedes S Class and a replacement for the old Mercedes CL – arrived as a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. And it looked very good. Now, with a debut of the production version of the S-Class Coupe likely to arrive at next month’s Detroit Auto Show, we have a quick look at the new S-Class Coupe on-road in a short spy video, albeit covered in the de rigeur swirly black and white camouflage.
The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is making its global debut at the New York auto show, and the changes for the new model year -- while not exactly breathtaking -- should help VW's volume-seller keep up with the competition. That includes the likes of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze and 2015 Ford Focus, which are also showing off refreshes in the Big Apple. To start, VW says the mildly redesigned front fascia reduces drag (and gives a “wider and more substantial look” to boot!) with a new bumper and air intakes.

Mercedes’ new AMG SLS – the gullwinged GT supercar due to appear at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show – is going electric as engineers develop an emissions-free battery powered SLS as an alternative to the 563bhp V8. The eco SLS will have an electric motor powering each wheel, producing a total of 526bhp. Needless to say, for now it remains an engineering prototype – but a spokeswoman told CAR that Mercedes was intent on putting it into production.
